How about a nice dish of tough beef and overcooked broccoli with gloppy sauce? We set out to rescue this dish from the tyranny of third-rate Chinese restaurants.
We wanted to make pork and vegetable stir-fries that had tender, flavorful pork and perfectly cooked vegetables—dishes that would taste authentic but would not have epic ingredient lists.
We don't like woks in principle—but we were willing to give electric woks a try.
We required our winning brand to be both authentic and complex.
