Subject: Carol Field's Biscotti recipes - Gourmet Dec. 1992
For years I've been relying on Carol Field's fantabulous biscotti recipes (Gourmet, Dec 1992). Those biscotti I make every Christmas season. While searching for the recipes this past weekend as I'm getting ready to bake for give-aways, etc, they are no longer to be found after realizing that my roommate accidentally threw away a box of twenty years worth of favorite recipes!

Anyone can help me with Carol's recipes? Grazie!

If it's the cranberry pistachio biscotti you're looking for, it seems to be posted here: http://community.cookinglight.com/showthr ead.php?t=49804 . Hope it's THE ONE. All the best.

Thanks milnead. That's not the one but the recipe looks great. I will give this one a try. However Carol Field's Gourmet article contains a bunch of different recipes, one of them containing yeast. They're all great. I'd love to have this article.

NewYorkBaker,
Is your roommate safe? If I were you, I would be about to maim her! (20 years worth of favorite recipes gone, gone, gone! I would need tranquilizers and an antidepressant!)

(p.s. This reminds me I need to put my recipes into a program on line where they might be safer.)

milnead, one of the quirks in this board is if you go back and edit your post, it screws up the link; it adds a space as you can see between the words "message" and "jspa?"

The link doesn't work but that's fixable by copying and pasting it in the URL box and then deleting the space.

Good luck. I would have tossed my roommate out of the window!!! YIKES.

Thank you for mentioning it, I'm new to the board. I had put in the link without the html thing to make a hyperlink, and when I went back to correct it, this is what happened. Well, I hope newyorkbaker sees my post and your warning.

milnead, WOW! What a find. Thanks. That's the best thing that happened to me in weeks!

I encourage you all to try the Biscotti del Laggacio recipe. It's so unique, nothing like any of the biscotti you have tried. I have never seen another recipe like it.

Here's the link with the Biscotti Del Laggaccio, which sounds deliciously different, starting out with that yeast sponge, plus a few others.

I am a packrat with a copy of the Gourmet Dec. 1992 issue - photo of Frozen Cranberry souffle on the front. If you are interested, I would be glad to forward you a complete copy of the article and recipes (starts on page 128). Please advise how to proceed. Could I download a scan to this site? I am a novice, so you would have to provide "instructions for dummies".

Hi KRM54 or anyone,
I'd also be grateful for a copy of those recipes. I threw out the original issue thinking that any recipe could be found on epicurious.com......apparently Carol Field must have copyrights for the article, so they're not to be found
Are you able to email to me?
nshchef@aol.com
grazie mille :)

I see the system breaks links, you need to copy-paste on url and then remove the space between jspa and ?
Best of luck to all
