Subject: Coq au Vin with?
Hi!

Making coq au vin, but my daughter hates egg noodles. What kind of pasta would you suggest, other than egg noodles?

Thanks for your help.

How about serving it with rice or potatoes instead? Otherwise, tagliatelle or fettuccine would work.

How about stuffing? Cornbread or standard. Masted potatoes. Country potatoes. Jamey
If in doubt,.....Cure it!

Jamey has a good idea - stuffing/dressing is an under-used side dish!

My first inclination is always mashed potatoes, though. I love 'em! And the sauce can soak into them nicely.

Yup, we usually have it with boiled/steamed baby potatoes or mashed. Usually with a relatively strong green on the side, such as spinach or swiss chard.

Has your daughter tried the NO-Yolks noodles instead of regular egg noodles? I am not crazy about egg noodles either and I like these much better. There is a funny taste in egg noodles that turns me off that the NO-Yolks noodles do not have.
