America's Test Kitchen

We're celebrating a big anniversary this fall. America's Test Kitchen has been on public television for 20 years! And we need your help.

We plan to feature fan videos in a special hour-long episode of the show. One lucky fan will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Boston to watch us film the show in 2020. We will announce the prize winner on our Facebook page when the special airs in November 2019.

Want to enter? Read on for the details.

Step 1: Get the camera ready.

No need for any special gear—a cell phone is perfect.

  • Make sure the camera is set to 1080p (size) and 29.97 or 30 fps (frame rate). (This is the default for most iPhones.)
  • Turn on all the lights in the kitchen (or wherever you’re shooting).
  • Make sure whoever is holding the camera is close enough to get good sound.
  • Hold your phone horizontally (not vertically).
  • Roll camera!

Step 2: Tell us why you’re an ATK fan.

  • First, tell us your name, where you live (your state is fine), and the local public television station where you watch us! Then, in 60 seconds or less, tell us why you love ATK.
  • How has ATK changed your life or transformed your cooking?
  • Is there one recipe in particular that made you into an ATK fan? Which one?
  • Do you have a favorite ATK moment or memory?

Step 3: Send us your video.

Step 4: Tune in to our one-hour 20th Anniversary Special this fall.

We'll be announcing the grand prize winner on our Facebook page on November 7th, 2019, so check in to see if your video was selected!
