Our Preschool Chefs’ Club delivers food-based fun for kids ages 3 to 5

With the Preschool Chefs’ Club, your preschooler will discover food-based play with themed boxes such as Colors, On the Farm, and Restaurant. Each box contains an illustrated storybook; family-friendly recipes; hands-on STEAM activities, games, and crafts (plus items to complete them); collectable stickers and achievement magnets; and a grown-up guide packed with resources for parents and caregivers. Here are five skills (among many!) your preschooler will learn through the Preschool Chefs’ Club.

  • Counting: Measuring many of the ingredients in our recipes requires counting out multiple tablespoons or ¼ teaspoons.
  • Pattern Recognition: Putting the events of a story in order helps kids practice sequencing—a foundational skill that they will rely on for everything from following directions to recognizing patterns.
  • Observation Skills: Encourage your child to describe out loud what they see as you cook or bake together.
  • Self-Expression: Decorating cupcakes presents an opportunity for kids to express themselves through colors, shapes, and designs.
  • Fine Motor Skills: Stirring, whisking, scooping, and more help develop muscles in kids’ hands—the same muscles they’ll put to work writing, cutting, tracing, and, eventually, typing.
