The best molasses spice cookies combine a homespun crinkled appearance with a chewy texture and a deep, gently spiced molasses flavor. That's what Amanda from A Cookie Named Desire wanted when she prepared a recipe for Molasses Spice Cookies from one of our latest releases, The Perfect Cookie. The result was a cookie that surpassed her expectations.

“These flavorful chewy molasses cookies are nothing like what you’ve had in the past," she wrote. "Perfectly balanced flavors meet in an irresistibly chewy cookie that is perfect for dunking!”

The Perfect Cookie

There are tips and tricks throughout, and insight on everything from what makes a cookie crunchy vs. chewy, to equipment and ingredients that set you up for success, and a troubleshooting guide that keeps you in control of every batch. The result? The perfect cookie, every time.
According to Amanda from A Cookie Named Desire, our Molasses Spice Cookies are perfect for dunking.

The secret to our perfect cookies is a modest amount of dark brown sugar, which boosted the sweetness and added strong caramel notes. To complement the assertive sweeteners, we used a powerful yet balanced team of spices (including cinnamon, ginger, cloves, allspice, and black pepper) providing warmth and just enough bite.

“I’ve always loved molasses cookies, but never had my own go-to recipe," Amanda wrote. "I am proud to say that I finally have a go-to recipe that I will use forever, and yes, they come out perfectly every single time.”
