Chase Brightwell is an associate editor for ATK Reviews. Born in Georgia, he learned to cook from his parents, whose cooking lessons were steeped in deep family traditions. A career in global health led him to a position as an HIV epidemiologist at Harvard. Nowadays, he's applying his culinary knowledge and methodical research skills to reviewing everything from air fryers to gooseneck kettles and pulling back the curtain on ingredients such as heirloom beans and pasta. He lives in Maine with his husband and black lab and has never met a biscuit he didn't like.
