Laila Ibrahim is a test cook for the books team. She grew up in Amman, Jordan and eventually moved to New York to pursue a culinary education and career. Out of a love for writing and food research, she transitioned into food media after spending years in the restaurant industry. Her Arabic heritage and Mediterranean influences find their way into many of the recipes she develops. When she's not busy putting anchovies on things, you can find her collecting hand-embroidered textiles and searching for water holes to jump in after long hikes.
