What am I supposed to eat every other night this week?

The big, showy Thanksgiving meal gets all the attention this time of year, but the fact is, you need to eat the rest of the week, too. You want something satisfying but also quick and easy to make and clean up after. You want something maybe a bit lighter than the big Thursday meal, with bright flavors.

I submit: a nice piece of fish with a lively vegetable side. Crunchy Cod with Spicy Broccoli.

Cod is the perfect fish for people who claim they hate fish. It’s got a mild flavor and a firm bite and makes a perfect base for a crunchy, flavorful topping made with potato sticks. And it takes less than 15 minutes to bake. A superfast broccoli side rounds out this meal.

Pop open a bottle of inexpensive white wine and you’ve got a perfect supper to cap off a day spent baking pies, making name cards, polishing silver, and doing all those other pre-T-day tasks.
