Ingredients: 2 teaspoons, vanilla extract; 2 teaspoons, baking powder; 1/2 cup, whole milk, room temperature; 1/2 teaspoon, ground cinnamon; 1/2 teaspoon, ground cloves; 1/2 pound, unsalted butter (2 sticks), softened, each stick cut into 8 pieces; 1 1/2 cups (10½ ounces), granulated sugar; 1/4 teaspoon, ground nutmeg; 4 , large eggs, room temperature; 3/4 teaspoon, table salt; 2 1/4 cups, sifted cake flour
