Prepare Ingredients

grape or cherry tomatoes

baby mozzarella balls
1 tablespoon
extra-­virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper

fresh small basil leaves

Gather Cooking Equipment

Paring knife
Cutting board
Medium bowl
Rubber spatula

sturdy wooden toothpicks, each about 3 inches long

grape or cherry tomatoes

baby mozzarella balls
1 tablespoon
extra-virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper

Cut tomatoes in half and place in medium bowl. Add mozzarella balls and drizzle with oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and use rubber spatula to toss gently.

Slide tomato half onto sturdy wooden toothpick. Slide basil leaf onto toothpick, then slide mozzarella ball onto toothpick. Finish each skewer by sliding second tomato half onto end. Serve.
