Spaghetti with Lemon and Basil (Spaghetti al Limone e Basilico)
Why This Recipe Works
The key to a perfect spaghetti with lemon and basil recipe was finding the right balance of ingredients. We experimented with lemon juice and olive oil proportions and eventually found the balance of the two ingredients. We added grated lemon zest for a lemony kick without acidity. Then we stirred grated Parmesan cheese into the vinaigrette to create a slightly thickened sauce that nicely coated the pasta. Just a bit of butter went a long way in rounding out the flavors and taking the edge off the lemon in our spaghetti with lemon and basil recipe. Finally, we added a generous amount of finely shredded basil and the dish was complete.
