Slow-Cooker Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuit Topping
Why This Recipe Works
For our best slow-cooker chicken pot pie recipe, we made a complex gravy with aromatics and white wine, thickened with tapioca, on top of the stove, and then transferred it to the slow cooker along with the chicken. Once it was cooked, we removed the chicken from the bones, returned it to the gravy, and transferred the filling to a baking dish. For the best biscuits for our slow-cooker pot pie recipe, we partially baked them in the oven before placing them on top of the filling to finish up.
