Polenta Casserole with Sautéed Bell Peppers and Sausage
Why This Recipe Works
After testing several types of instant polenta from the supermarket for our polenta casserole recipe, we found that instant polenta is much easier and takes only 10 minutes—we were hooked. In our effort to add some flavor to the polenta, we disregarded the package instructions, which recommend cooking it in boiling water. Instead we used a combination of milk and water, which added some flavor to the polenta without ruining its creamy texture. Finished with a little butter, which helped keep it smooth and soft, the polenta seemed just perfect.
